Windows XP: Desktop icon are not visible after boot in XP

Issue:  Desktop icon are not visible after boot in XP
Cause: Due to virus attack.

Solution 1. (Not Tried):
 Go to Desktop “Right-click->Arrange Icons->Show Desktop Icons”
if “Show Desktop Icons” is unchecked then Checked it.

Soultion 2. (Not Tried):
Goto
Step 1. Start->Run
Step 2. Type “regedit”, click on “OK”.
Step 3. Go to “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer”
Name: NoDesktop

Check to see if the value is set to 1 if so change it to 0 and restart
